Antarctic Interactive is an installation created for The Edge Gallery and Urban Arts Centre in Winnipeg.
Unfortunately, nobody thought to document the installation in situ and so 60 feet of printed fabric and this, are what remain.

The viewer walks into the Gallery and is faced with several large pieces of cloth on to which are projected various images. This is “outside”.
Moving “inside”, one is cocooned in four imposing images from my expedition to the Antarctic. Each vision is backlit by a projection of itself, perfectly overlaid on the printed version. As the viewer moves around the installation, their live interaction with each part of it triggers different events, adding new layers of projection: as one approaches the storm, thunder and lightning ensue; over the tabular iceberg, a group of Giant Petrels fly into the sunset; an iceberg calves…
